SMS Messaging Service
By providing my phone number, I consent to receive SMS text messages from Beacon Counseling for appointment reminders and general two-way communication about scheduling. Message and Data Rates may apply.
Message Frequency
You will get more than one message from us unless you opt-out, and while messaging frequency varies, you will likely receive messages pertaining to your account with us as you request, or up to 1 message reminder per appointment. Beacon Counseling reserves the right to alter the frequency of messages at any time to increase or decrease the total number of messages. Beacon Counseling and carriers are not liable for delays or undelivered messages.

Cancellation/Opt-Out Instructions
You can opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time by replying “STOP” to any message we send you. After you opt out of text messaging, you will receive one additional message confirming your request has been processed. For assistance, reply “HELP.”

Liability
We are not responsible for any charges, errors, or delays in SMS delivery or undelivered messages caused by your carrier or third-party service providers.
Risks
We take confidentiality and HIPAA rules seriously, as such we have secured and made compliant all aspects of text messaging that we can control, however, by sending a text message, you are accepting the risk of privacy and confidentiality should someone view information on your own device. This is a risk that you choose to accept by sending a text message.
Rules
Text messaging is for scheduling, cancelling, or rescheduling appointments only. No therapeutic or counseling services may be delivered via text message.
Text messages are only received when a clinician seeks to look a them and are only received during working hours.
Emergency Procedures
Certain situations, including emergencies and crises, are inappropriate for text messaging for health therapy services. If in an emergency or crisis, please call 9-1-1 or seek help from a hospital or crisis-oriented health care facility in my immediate area.
